Your Responsibilities As A Substitute

• The member will provide the 60-second presentation to the substitute prior to the meeting in order for the sub to properly represent the member.
• If the substitute agrees to attend a meeting for a member, the substitute MUST attend the meeting and arrive on time and stay for the entire 90 minutes.
• The substitute agrees to represent the absent member’s company in a professional manner during the 60-second presentation.
• At the President’s discretion, the substitute may do a 60-second infomercial as the Visitor’s do theirs. (Check with the President by calling ahead or before the meeting starts.)
• The substitute may discreetly pass out business cards during the first 15 minutes of open networking providing their profession is NOT represented within the chapter.
• The substitute will not solicit business from members of the chapter if their business is already represented in the chapter.
• The substitute does not have the full rights and privileges that a chapter member has.
• The substitute will turn over any referrals received to the absent member and pass referrals on the absent member’s behalf.
• The absent member WILL pay for the substitute’s meal.
• The absent member will follow up with the substitute as soon as possible, after the chapter meeting.
• A member may be removed from the substitute program at the discretion of the director.
