Gold Coast Chapter Partners With CIMBA

CIMBA is a “school within a school” for sophomore, junior, and senior students at Channel Islands High School who are interested in a career in business and multimedia. The goal of the 3 year academy is to incorporate business themes in all core classes, provide college opportunities, and guide students in career goals.

A large portion of the program includes mentoring. BNI Gold Coast members Christine Sztukowski (of ICM-Independent Capital Management) and Brooke Smith (of Coldwell Banker Real Estate) agreed to be Mentors and invited the students to attend their weekly BNI meeting. There, the students started the process of learning first hand how to market their future businesses.

The Gold Coast Chapter was thrilled to have the students visit and are committed to supporting this program and the youth in their community.

The Gold Coast Chapter meets at Hometown Buffet, 1901 Lockwood Street, in Oxnard, at 7 am on Thursday mornings. The chapter is led by President, Nancy Waggoner (The Dapper Dog), Vice-President, Brooke Smith (Coldwell Banker Real Estate), and Secretary/Treasurer, John Avila (Renew It).
